Wilhelmina's silver rijksdaalder or knaak
As the highest silver coin, a coin with the value of two and a half guilders, also called the silver knaak or rijksdaalder, was issued during Wilhelmina's reign (1890-1948). The silver rijksdaalder has two portraits of Queen Wilhelmina.

The rijksdaalder was issued in 1898 and from 1929 through 1940. The rijksdaalder was issued in 945/1000 silver in 1898 and in 720/1000 silver from 1929 through 1940. Wilhelmina's rijksdaalder has a weight of 25 grams and a diameter of 38 millimeters. During the war, a silver rijksdaalder with the year 1944 (720/1000 silver) was minted in Denver, Colorado, for Curaçao in the United States.
