About quality
The banknote is in very fine + quality, which puts it in a higher quality and collectible class. The bill has both diagonal and vertical folds, but in addition the bill is still solid and without holes or tears. This bill is hard to find in this higher quality.

About the bank bill:

The thousand guilder bill is the highest bill issued by the Dutch Bank for circulation. The thousand guilder bill featuring Rembrandt was designed by designer Eppo Doeve, and is part of the 1950s legacy series designed by Doeve. The front side shows the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn, and on the left side we see some brushes that this painter then used a lot. On the back is a pattern with guilloche and a hand holding a brush. The thousand guilder bill measures 169 x 97 millimeters and has the signatures of DNB president Marius Wilhelm Holtrop and DNB secretary Adriaan Marie de Jong. In addition to the thousand guilder Rembrandt, four other bills are part of Doeve's legacy series, namely the:

The twenty guilder bill was not very popular at the time and soon disappeared from circulation. The thousand guilder note with Rembrand was finally withdrawn from circulation by the Dutch Bank in 1978, so the bill circulated for 22 years. Because a thousand guilders was also a large amount in the late 1970s, a large proportion of the thousand guilders with Rembrandt was redeemed again, making it a scarce bill today.
