The penny of Queen Wilhelmina was minted from 1892 through 1948, the cent weighs 2.5 grams and has a diameter of 19 millimeters. The obverse of the coin shows a Lion and the reverse of the coin shows the mint value. In addition to the cent of Queen Wilhelmina the following coins were still issued during her reign:

– Five-cent "night quarter" Wilhelmina;
– Five-cent square Wilhelmina;
– Ten-cent Wilhelmina;

The silver coins of Queen Wilhelmina were withdrawn from circulation during World War II, and from 1948 the remaining coins were replaced by a new series of coins of;

– 10 cents 1948;
– 25 cents 1948.
