Empire World Coins Collection 12 piece coin set in wooden treasure box. 

Deluxe wooden case with 12 different coins from ancient times to the 19th century.

This case contains the following authentic coins:

  1. Persian Siglos, struck between 550 and 330 BC.
  2. Macedonian Bronze coin, depicting Alexander the Great carrying a lion's head, struck between 356 and 323 BC.
  3. A Roman silver Denarius, for at least five centuries had been the leading currency the then Roman Empire and surrounding areas.
  4. A silver drachma from the Sassanid Empire, with elements and Symbols of the Sassanid main religion "Zoroastrianism" on the reverse. On the obverse is depicted and of the emperors of the Empire
  5. A bronze Follis from the Byzantine Empire, also called the Eastern Roman Empire. The M on the reverse stands for 40 Nummia, one of the coinage systems at the time.
  6. Silver Dirham from the Abbasid Empire, which was minted between 749 and 1258.
  7. A double Dirhem from the Mongol Empire, struck between 1336 and 1353.
  8. A Silver Dinar from the Ottoman Empire, minted between 1566 and 1603 under the rule of Sultan Mehmed III. He ruled from 1595 until his death in 1603.
  9. A silver 8 Reales (or Spanish dollar) was the precursor to the now US dollar. These 8 Reales circulated through the mid-19th century, long after the United States gained independence from the powerful states from out of Europe.
  10. A Copper 5 Kopeek, struck in the Russian Empire in 1772. Catherine the Great was the Empress of the Russian Empire at the time.
  11. An 1808 silver 5 Francs minted under Napoleon Bonarparte, who was Emperor of the French Empire from 1804 to 1815. Fun fact: His brother King Louis Napelon was King of Netherlands.
  12. A Silver 2 Shillings or Florin of the English Empire. Minted under Queen Victoria in 1901.
