After the war, bronze nickels were put into circulation, in 1948 with the portrait of Queen Wilhelmina and from 1950 with the portrait of Queen Juliana. The series consists of a penny, a nickel, a dime and a quarter until 1953. Starting in 1954 a silver guilder was added, and starting in 1959 a silver rijksdaalder. The Juliana penny was minted from 1950 through 1980, and was withdrawn from circulation in 2002. The cent weighs 3.5 grams and has a diameter of 21 millimeters. In addition to the Juliana cent, the following coins have been issued:

– Quart Juliana;
– Guilder Juliana silver;
– Guilder Juliana nickel;
– Reichdaalder Juliana silver;
– Reichdaalder Juliana nickel;
– Ten guilder Juliana 1970 silver;
– Ten guilder Juliana 1973 silver.
Juliana's coins, except for the cent, continued to circulate through 2002 until the euro was introduced.
