Netherlands 25 Cent 1996 Beatrix
The quarter of Queen Beatrix is part of the series of coins designed by Ninaber van Eyben in the early 1980′s. The series consists of a nickel through a five guilder coin, in was largely put into circulation in 1982. The Beatrix circulation coin series uses a system of handles and quarters, so that the 25-cent coin shows four squares above the The quarter of Queen Beatrix is made of nickel, weighs 3 grams and has a diameter of 19 millimeters. In addition to the quarter, the following coins of Queen Beatrix issued for circulation:
– 5 cent Beatrix;
– 10 cent Beatrix;
– 1 guilder Beatrix;
– 2 ½ gulden Beatrix;
– 5 guilder Beatrix;
– 10 Guilder Beatrix 1994 Silver;
– 10 Guilders Beatrix 1995-1999 Silver;
– 50 guilder Beatrix 1982-1998 Silver.
The quarter was finally replaced in 2002 with the introduction of the euro, ending a Dutch coinage of 25 cents.
