One thousand guilders 1994 Kieviet.
The thousand guilder with the lapwing in the watermark is the successor to the thousand guilder with Spinoza. The lapwing was put into circulation in 1996, so it did not circulate for very long. The thousand guilder bill with the lapwing features various anti-counterfeiting techniques, such as shiny patterns on the back, an emerald green symbol next to the watermark and, when held up to the light, a lapwing can be discovered in the watermark. In addition to the 1000 guilder lapwing, there are also the:
– Ten Guilders 1997 Kingfisher;
– Twenty-five guilders 1989 Robins;
– Hundred Guilders 1992 Stone Owl;
The thousand guilders with the lapwing, which is not very common with new bills, is slightly longer than the thousand guilders with Spinoza (160 mm x 76 mm versus 166 mm x 76 mm). The thousand guilders with the lapwing was finally withdrawn from circulation with the introduction of the euro in 2002.
