Hundred Guilders 1992 Stone Owl
After the hundred guilder bill with the Snipe a new hundred guilder bill came into circulation in the early 1990s. This time with additional safeguards against counterfeiting. Thus, the hundred guilder with the little owl has a shiny sun next to the watermark, there is a gold-like sheen all over the bill and there are tangible pearls all over the bill. The nickname owl comes from the little owl in the watermark. In addition to the hundred guilder owl, there are also the:
– Ten Guilders 1997 Kingfisher;
– Twenty-five guilders 1989 Robins;
– One thousand guilders 1994 Kieviet.
The hundred guilder bill was finally withdrawn from circulation in 2002 with the introduction of the euro.
