Netherlands 10 Guilders 1945 II State Mines
NVMH:46-1
Plomp: PL43b
The ten guilder bill "Staatsmijnen" has a picture of King William 1 on the front, and a picture of the state mines on the back. The bill is still signed by DNB-President Trip and DNB-Secretary Westerman-Holstijn. This bill also still has the text "pays to bearer," which eventually disappeared from the bills after this type. The ten with the state mines is part of the post-war series of banknotes which also includes the following banknotes:
– Twenty guilders William 3
– Twenty-five guilder Girl in blue
– Fifty guilders stadholder
– Thousand guilders William of Orange
The bill was withdrawn from circulation in the early 1950s when the ten guilder bill of Hugo de Groot came into circulation in 1953.
