After the war, nickel dimes were put into circulation, in 1948 with the portrait of Queen Wilhelmina and from 1950 with the portrait of Queen Juliana. The series consists of a penny, a nickel, a dime and a quarter until 1953. Starting in 1954 a silver guilder was added, and starting in 1959 a silver rijksdaalder. The Juliana dime was minted from 1950 through 1980, and was removed from circulation in 2002. The dime weighs 1.5 grams and has a diameter of 15 millimeters. In addition to the dime of Juliana, the following coins were issued:
– Cent Juliana;
– Stuiver Juliana;
– Quart Juliana;
– Guilder Juliana silver;
– Guilder Juliana nickel;
– Reichdaalder Juliana silver;
– Reichdaalder Juliana nickel;
– Ten guilder Juliana 1970 silver;
– Ten guilder Juliana 1973 silver.
Juliana's coins, except for the cent, continued to circulate through 2002 until the euro was introduced.
