Netherlands Half cent 1832A William 1
The half-cent coin of King William I, The , struck between 1819 and 1837, is a piece of Dutch royal history. This copper coin had a diameter of only 16 millimeters and weighed 1.92 grams, making it one of the smallest and lightest circulation coins from that period. Because Belgium was still part of the Netherlands in the early nineteenth century, the half cents were minted both in Utrecht and in Brussels. On the front is the crowned symbol of King William I Shown together with the year. The reverse side shows the coin value “½ CENT”.
In addition to the half cent, there are also the
– Cent Willem 1;
– Stuiver Willem 1;

– Quarter Willem 1;
– Half guilder Willem 1;
– Gulden Willem 1;
– Rijksdaalder Willem 1;
– 3 guilders Willem 1;
– 5 guilders Willem 1 gold;
– 10 guilders Willem 1 gold.
The coins of King Willem I slowly disappeared from circulation during the 19th century, and were then gradually replaced by the coins of King Willem II and King William 3. Today, the coins of King Willem I are very popular among collectors.
